{Kentucky}...The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear the case of Kentucky death row inmate 47 year old Shawn William Windsor. Windsor pleaded guilty in 2006 to killing his estranged wife and son in Louisville and asked for a speedy death sentence. The decision came in an appeal over whether Windsor could fire his attorneys and waive his appeals. Kentucky is under an injunction barring executions unrelated to Windsor's case. Also, the state lacks a supply of sodium thiopental, a key drug used in a lethal injection.
