Jewish Hospital Hand Transplant Patient Going Home

{Kentucky}...Officials at Jewish Hospital in Louisville announced Wednesday that 36 year old Donnie Rickelman of Linton, Indiana, will return home this week after receiving a new left hand in July. His medical team says he is showing excellent progress and currently has a full range of motion. He will continue physical therapy from home. Rickelman injured both hands in a factory accident in 1998 and his left hand was partially amputated. Rickelman is the seventh person to successfully receive a hand transplant at the hospital.
