say troopers were forced to a shoot a man during a domestic disturbance call at
a residence in the Beechburg area of Fleming County Thursday. Police say, when
troopers arrived at the house, they were confronted by James Hay who was armed
with a gun. For about an hour, troopers pleaded with Hay to put down his
weapon, but Hay refused to comply and threatened the officers with the firearm
at which time they shot and killed him.
