{Louisville,
Kentucky}...Illinois-based Beam Inc. announced Thursday that Louisville will be
home of its new Global Business Services Center, which is expected to open early
next year, resulting in 60 jobs. Half of the 60 positions have already been
filled and are operating at an interim site in Shepherdsville. The other jobs
will be filled over the next 12 months. The center will serve as the primary
point of contact for Beam's North America
business related to benefits, compensation, accounts payable and payroll. Beam's
products include Jim Beam and Maker's Mark bourbons.
