Election Fraud Hotline Receives Calls

{Frankfort, Kentucky}…Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway says the Election Fraud Hotline received 183 calls from nearly 60 counties on Election Day, with the bulk of the questions concerning procedural issues and voting machines. Before Tuesday, the office received 11 calls alleging vote buying or selling and four more on Election Day. Clay, Knott, Knox and Wolfe counties each produced two of those calls, and the rest were from Adair, Boyd, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Madison and Meade counties. As required by law, the attorney general’s office will randomly select six counties for a postelection audit. Each county will undergo independent inquiries for any potential irregularities that may have occurred during the election. The counties are selected in a public drawing that must be within 20 days of the election.
