(Elkhorn City, Ky) - At just before 6pm Thursday evening, a body was recovered from the Russell Fork river near Elkhorn City. Apparently, a kayaker making his way toward Elkhorn City discovered the body in the water just below a popular swimming area known as Pool Point and notified authorities. Local search crews have been looking for a missing swimmer who was reported missing Monday evening, but police officials are not saying at this point if the body found was that of the young man reported missing.
