{Frankfort, Kentucky}...The Kentucky Senate has approved a bill to allow students who meet specific criteria, including having a grade point average of 3.2 or higher and who have high ACT scores, to graduate from high school early so they can enter college. The proposal by Senator Ken Winters, a Murray Republican, also passed the Senate last year. It provides for a $2,500 scholarship that would go to the students' college or university of choice from money that would have instead gone to their school districts.
