Decomposed Body Found In Lexington
{Lexington, Kentucky}...Lexington police are investigating after they found a decomposed body in a trash can in a wooded area in an industrial park Wednesday. Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn said the body was sent to the state medical examiner's office to determine the person's identity and cause of death. Ginn said the body was in a "mummified, decomposed" state and the person had been dead for "quite some time." His office is treating the case as a homicide. Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts says police were investigating a missing person and learned information that led them to the scene. She said it was too early to say whether the body was that of the missing person, who was reported missing in December.
