Pain Clinic Owner Pleads Guilty

{Covington, Kentucky}…Thirty-eight year old Jody L. Robinson of Portsmouth, Ohio, who owned pain clinics in Florida and Ohio pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court in Covington, Kentucky to a federal charge of conspiracy to launder money. Federal prosecutors say Robinson admitted making more than $400,000 by using a doctor to unlawfully write prescriptions to patients from Lawrence, Boyd and Greenup counties in eastern Kentucky. Patients at the clinics paid about $150 in cash for prescriptions that were usually filled for $300 at an in-house pharmacy. Co-defendant, 34 year old William Muldoon of Margate, Florida, also pleaded guilty to the same charge. Prosecutors say Muldoon advertised the clinics for Robinson.
